Kelly Olsen

OWNER & DIRECTOR
15 POWER COACH

Coach Kelly is feared by opponents but endeared by her players. After 18 years of coaching volleyball at both the school and club levels (8 years of HS Varsity), she is most passionate about creating a positive atmosphere for young athletes to solidify fundamental skills. Kelly believes that positive coaching sets her teams up for success. She can activate the best performance from each athlete through motivation and encouragement. She expects great things and raises the vision of her teams. Kelly has implemented Gold Medal Squared with all of her teams over her entire coaching career creating a ‘complete it with a purpose’ or ‘mindfulness’ mentality.

Brooke Gill

OWNER & DIRECTOR

Brooke is fiercely loyal to her athletes and quickly earns their trust. She enjoys utilizing research-based coaching methods to meticulously plan each minute of practice. Above all, Brooke is deeply passionate about the emotional well-being of every athlete, and provides a safe place for them to grow. Brooke has 4 years of coaching experience at both the junior high and club levels. As head coach at Kaysville Jr. High, Brooke focuses on building confidence and skill through high energy, team focused drills. She is trained in Gold Medal Squared and specializes in front row attacking and serving.

  • Chris Grover - 17 Power Coach

    Chris started after high school playing outdoor volleyball at all levels for years, often taking 1st place in the tournaments he competed in. Eventually his passion to continue to compete in volleyball led him to try out for and make the team at Utah Valley State College, where he played Division 1 club in the late 90's early 2000's as an outside hitter. During his time playing for Utah Valley State College, his team placed 2nd and 3rd in the nation. Chris’ love for volleyball has never left him and he is excited to coach young athletes to help them develop a similar passion and excitement for this amazing sport.

  • Dallas Horn - 16 Power Coach

    Dallas has been around volleyball since birth and fell in love after her very first season. After many years of hard work she was fortunate enough to play at nationally ranked Central Wyoming College. After the completion of her volleyball career, Dallas jumped right into Rugby and played for Utah State University. Dallas has coached for 6 years at many different high schools and clubs throughout Utah. You can expect Dallas’ athletes to be competitive, and hard working. When Dallas is not coaching you can find her in the mountains or training for her upcoming triathlon.

  • Avery Goodfellow - 14 Power Coach

    After 2 years coaching the Davis High Sophomore team, Coach Avery hit the ground running on Day 1 at Platinum. A leader by example, Avery provides a model for others to replicate and follow. She takes personal development seriously and spends a lot of her extra time completing Gold Medal Squared and coach trainings so she can improve herself and her team. She is committed to what is best for her players and will do anything to support them in their pursuit of excellence.

  • Ben Thomas - 17 Apex Coach

    Ben started playing volleyball when he was a junior in high school. He quickly grew to love the sport and kept playing through college on the Utah State University Volleyball Club team. During those years, he played wherever and whenever he could, whether it was 2v2 sand or grass, or 6v6 indoor and anything in between. Ben loves the hard work, discipline, camaraderie, and accountability that competition instills in those who compete. While winning is always more fun, Ben believes the most important thing is to help his team play to their potential. While there is no shame in losing to a better team, if a team can play to their potential, they are going to win a lot.

  • Chandler Massey - 16 Apex Coach

    Chandler began coaching right after high school, immediately diving into her passion for volleyball. As head coach at West High School from 2021 to 2022, she led the team to consecutive state qualifications and secured second place in the region in the latter year, a deeply rewarding achievement. Recently, Chandler contributed as an assistant coach at American Preparatory Academy for JV/Varsity, helping clinch the region title and achieve strong results in the state tournament. With nearly 9 years dedicated to coaching volleyball, she proudly continues her family's sports legacy, inspired by her father and brothers who are basketball coaches.

  • Amanda Nelson - 15 Apex Coach

    Amanda brings 16 years of coaching experience to the court, starting her coaching journey straight out of Morgan High School, where she played a pivotal role in securing three state championships. After coaching high school and club teams for 15 years, Amanda took a hiatus to focus on her family. Now, she’s returned with a passion as strong as ever. A dedicated student of the game, Amanda is committed to nurturing each player's potential, believing that volleyball imparts invaluable life lessons and prepares individuals for their futures. Her mission is to ignite a love for volleyball in everyone she meets.

  • Spencer Aamodt

    From a young age, and the cards stacked against him, Spencer found his way onto the volleyball court and never looked back. Without access to High School volleyball he'd seek out UOVA 2v2 Tournaments and any chance to play. While at Snow College he even volunteered himself to practice with the girls volleyball team as a scrimmage player and later found himself competing for the Utah State University Club Team. New to coaching, Spencer is determined to learn all he can, translating his experience as an outside hitter and setter into an effective coach.

  • Grace Clark

    It's likely that Grace took her first steps on a volleyball court. Coach Grace has been around the game her entire life, and knows volleyball inside and out. She hopes to implement the best of what she's observed through her family pedigree of college players and varsity coaches and recently wrapped up her senior season at Davis High. She is eager to continue making an impact from the sideline. Clark has experience leading camps and takes pride in catering practice plans to the needs of her athletes.

  • Lindsay Cook

    After many successful years on the volleyball court and lacrosse field, Lindsay seamlessly transitioned into the coaching world. While coaching high school lacrosse she refined her leadership skills and later began coaching her daughter's volleyball teams. Lindsay continues to thrive in the world of sports, and is an active participant in adult leagues and events. She believes deeply in building a strong foundation and emphasizes the importance of developing critical skills. Winning is fun, but good volleyball is better!

  • Kellie Henry

    After a successful collegiate volleyball career at Snow College and Weber State, Kellie's coaching career began and her relentless desire to share her passion for the sport took off. For many years, Kellie found joy on the sideline, developing athletes of all ages and playing the game herself. To this day she actively participates in leagues and tournaments, sharing her passion for volleyball while caring for four amazing children at home.

  • Jamie Holbrook - 17 Power Assistant

    As a player, Jamie made her mark racking up countless awards, including Southern Arizona Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All Region Honors. More important to Coach Jamie than filling a trophy case is fostering a passion for volleyball and life in others. Sidelined due to injury prior to accepting a college scholarship, she now looks forward to making her mark helping athletes sharpen their skills and become mentally tough.

  • Nanette Stucki

    Nanette believes that sports are to be enjoyed, not endured. As a Coach and Certified Personal Trainer she thrives in competition, but prioritizes building confidence in her athletes. Nanette holds a degree in Exercise Science and looks forward to each new season of helping her athletes unlock new skills and develop their passion for volleyball. During her first season at Platinum, we saw her team continue to compete at higher levels while having the most fun doing it.

  • Paige Torsak

    From her first day on the volleyball court as a 5th grader, Paige Torsak has felt a special connection to the game. As an experienced outside hitter and libero she has always been eager to learn and implement new skills, now she looks forward to teaching those skills to up and coming athletes. She brings grit and resilience to our Platinum squad after battling injuries during her college experience, and can't wait to share these intangibles with her teams. Paige specializes in defense, and lives for sideout!

  • Rachael Dixon - Mental Skills Coach

    Rachael enhances the Platinum Squad as a positional and mental skills coach. She spent 15 years coaching club and high school volleyball in San Diego, and brings more than just experience to our Platinum athletes. As our club's dedicated sports psychologist, Rachael will support all teams and coaches in reaching their full potential through cutting edge mental skills strategies and techniques. She is eager to get involved in helping athletes enhance their performance and realize their goals.
